    The Center on Finance, Law, and Policy is seeking 3 graduate or undergraduate students to work in an interdisciplinary team with faculty and research assistants from around the university on a complex project developing methods for understanding and detecting manipulation in financial markets. Students with an interdisciplinary background that involves any of finance, law, public policy, and/or computer science are highly encouraged to apply. Quantitative skills are especially helpful, but not necessary.

    Qualifications: Only current University of Michigan students are eligible for this position. The selected candidates will have completed coursework or have relevant experience in banking, financial regulation, securities regulation or capital markets, with strong quantitative and analytic skills. The ideal candidate will have a computer science, data science, or machine learning background.

    Timing & Pay:  The position requires 7-10 hours per week at $15/hour. Candidates must be available for the entire academic year (September – May).
