Functions and Firms: Using Activity and Entity-Based Regulation to Strengthen the Financial System
Submitted to the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) March 2019. For the fourth consecutive year, the Office of Financial Research (OFR) and the University of Michigan Center on Finance, Law, and Policy co-hosted a conference addressing timely issues in financial markets. The 2018 conference focused on an activities-based approach to financial stability risk monitoring and supervision. This document summarizes the main themes from each of the conference’s six panels.
