Brian Peretti

Director of the Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Compliance Policy at the U.S. Department of Treasury

Brian, a career member of the Senior Executive Service at the United States Department of the Treasury, serves as the Director of the Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Compliance Policy. At the Treasury, he leads the efforts of the Financial and Banking Information Infrastructure Committee (FBIIC), an interagency organization chartered under the President's Working Group for Financial Markets composed of 18 federal and state financial regulatory agencies, he has advanced its mission to secure and enhance the sector's operational risk management for the financial services sector's critical infrastructure protection.  He represents the Treasury on interagency groups including the Cyber Interagency Planning Committee, the National Cyber Response Coordination Group, the Cyber Unified Coordination Group, and the Federal Reserve's Secure Payments Task Force.  He directs the Treasury's effort to implement a Research and Development agenda, in coordination with the financial services sector, to address security and resilience issues created by the use of technology in the sector. Prior to joining the Treasury, Mr. Peretti was an associate in Shook, Hardy & Bacon's Corporate Banking and Finance Section in Washington, D.C. and was General Counsel for the Wright Patman Congressional Federal Credit Union.  He lives in Arlington, VA with his wife, Kimberly Peretti, and their two children.
